Turkey extends anti-dumping duties on hinges and similar articles

The Turkish Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, through Communiqué 2008/18, concluded an anti-circumvention investigation on Chinese imports of hinges, base metal mountings, fittings and similar articles for furniture and hat-racks, hat-pegs, brackets and similar fixtures consigned through Chinese Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia. The anti-dumping duties in question are extended to products originating from and/or consigned through these countries. Five Taiwanese companies that were verified to be producers are exempted. Turkey had imposed anti-dumping duties ranging between 0.508 and 1.39 USD/kg. for the products in question in February 2004

Turkey to continue anti-dumping duties on pocket lighters

The Turkish Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, through Communiqué 2008/16, determined that revoking the existing anti-dumping duties on imports of gas fuelled, non refillable pocket lighters, gas fuelled, refillable pocket lighters with electrical ignition system and gas chambers of plastic for pocket lighters from China would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury. While the anti-dumping duties of 0.05 USD/kg. for pocket lighters will remain in place unchanged the duty of 0.03 USD/kg. for gas chambers for pocket lighters is lowered to 0.02 USD/kg.
