Turkey Begins Import Surveillance for Alarm Clocks

Turkey, through Communiqué no. 2008/13 on the Application of Surveillance in Importation published in the Offical Gazette no. 26912 of 20th of June, 2008, began import surveillance for electrical alarm clocks classified under Turkish customs tariff position 9105.11.00.00.00.

Surveillance will be applied prospectively to imports with a CIF unit value under five USD Dolars per products.

Products subject to surveillance can only be imported after obtaining a Surveillance Document to be issued by the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Foreing Trade. Imports of 25 or less units under a single customs declaration is exempt from the surveillance measure.
