The Turkish Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, through Communiqué no 2008/6 about Safeguard Measures in Importation published in the Official Gazette dated 10th of August 2008, declared that the Board for the Evaluation of Safeguard Measures in Importation decided to recommend the Council of Ministers to apply a safeguard measure against the imports of various electrical kitchen appliances such as mixers and blenders.
The recommended measures take the form of additional financial duties applicable for a period of three years.
