Turkey, through Communiqué no. 2008/14 on the Application of Surveillance in Importation published in the Offical Gazette no. 26920 of 28th of June, 2008, began import surveillance for tire rims classified under Turkish customs tariff positions 8708.70.50.00.11 and 8708.70.99.00.11 .
Surveillance will be applied prospectively to imports with a CIF unit value under six USD Dolars per kilograms.
Products subject to surveillance can only be imported after obtaining a Surveillance Document to be issued by the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Foreing Trade. Imports of 50 kilograms or less under a single customs declaration is exempt from the surveillance measure.
