Turkey to continue anti-dumping duties on blankets and travelling rugs

The Turkish Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, through Communiqué no. 2008/27 of 1st of August 2008, determined that revoking the existing anti-dumping duty on blankets (other than electric blankets) and travelling rugs other than those of wool, fine animal hair or cotton originating from People’s Republic of China is likely to result in the continuation or reoccurrence of dumping and injury. The Undersecretariat also determined that the scope of the measure should also include long pile fabrics used only for obtaining blankets. As a result the anti-dumping duty of 4 USD/kg. will be continued. The original measure was imposed in December 2002.
